I dare someone to name 100 players that were/are better than thunder Dan. You simply can't do it.

When we were staying at a hotel in downtown Dallas for the LSU/Oregon game, he was at the hotel bar with a couple dime pieces. So he's still pulling some it seems.

He isn't ranked anywhere near the top 100 in career average in:

Points
Rebounds
Assists
PER
Win Shares
Field Goal %
3-Pt FG %
Free Throw %
True Shooting %
Effective FG %

The only thing of relevance that he ranks in the top 100 in is career steals. And he ranks 80th in that

Because of Majerle the US lost in 88. He had no outside shot and when Hawkins got hurt it was over.

That and Bimbo Coles was the back up PG

The most underrated player ever is Artis Gilmore. #1 in career defensive rebounds, 11 time All-Star, #1 all-time in "true field goal percentage", #5 in blocks, former ABA MVP... almost entirely forgotten. He wasn't just awesome, he was f'n awesome.

Gilmore is a good one. Not sure about all time, but Joe Dumars was over shadowed a good portion of his career

Yeah, but it's a popular story that Dumars was an alternate on the Dream Team ahead of Isiah. He got his credit. I think he's rated just about right, and I'm a big Dumars fan.

Not a bad choice at all......... It was him against the world in 1973 against The Bruins and Bill Walton......
