No. Is this even a serious question?

I'll take him over Romo because he at least shuts up.

Kirk had to endure the last years of dementia Musberger, now he’s doing the same with Al.

I give him credit for hanging in the booth with two baws who deserved to be in nursing homes at the time

Yes, and it’s not even close. Especially Tony Jimmy Fallon Romo.

Easily yes, Romo was alright at first but his gimmick got old fast. Dude never stops yapping.

Yes cause he is not an ex Cowboy. In all honesty, used to enjoy Romo. He was great at calling plays before they happen. But now he just can’t stay off the mic. Talks way too much. Aikman he is okay, kind of average now. Herbstreit I don’t mind. Haven’t noticed a bias points out good things after the play happens.

That’s the problem with Herbstreit. He only parrots back what happened. He doesn’t have the ability or insight to provide pre-snap predictive analysis like Romo and other good analysts do.

He called one today where he said the safeties are creeping up now pull one out of swift chest and go deep and they did just that on the next play. I think there was a flag but he called it. Not championing for herbie but it played out as he said.

Herbie isn't bad, and not bias imo.

Idk why this board thinks Herbie today is the Herbie of 20yrs ago. He improved his craft.

What on earth are you smoking? All Romo does is get over the moon exuberant over every little thing. It’s so annoyingly cringey.

So he doesn't watch practice all week and memorize the play sheet? Romo is annoying as hell. He sounds like he's hosting his own radio show instead of letting the game itself breathe a little

Nobody wants "look at me" guy in the booth...leave the fans alone with their beer without spoilers.

John Madden did more homework than anyone in his early days as an announcer and then realized fans didn't want that, he had to tone it down to just reaction commentary at a basic fan level. He would talk about behind the scenes stuff, meeting with the coaches, their gameplan, personal stories of guys on the team and what makes X player great...

But he didn't pre snap diagnose...he made it about the players and only X and O'd after the play on replay with his telestrator.

Sounds like your own personal petty grievance. There’s a reason he gets the big NFL games that Herbie doesn’t.
He’s better. Simple as that.

And yet he’s one of the highest paid. Sounds like your personal problem to me

Romo and Aikman get the big games because they’re ex-Cowboys and networks feel people will tune in to listen to ex-Cowboys. They don’t get big games because they’re good at what they do. If it was based on quality, neither would have that job.
