If he simply lifts his head up there is no issue, he did not, is what it is

That's how you end up with a neck injury.

That’s exactly the opposite of how you end up with a neck injury, specifically a broken neck.

for a tackle I'd put on a coaching tape on how to tackle.
You can argue the merits of the targeting call but this was certainly not a tackle you'd want for a coaching tape.

That was not as near a bad call as I would have thought based on the hyperbolic tweet and this thread title. It looked like the crown made contact with helmet first so hard to argue it. In tacklers defense he couldn’t have done much different to avoid it. Did he get ejected?

You can find that kind of contact on just about any snap. Ridiculous.

. What the frick are we doing?

Trying to play football without playing football.

Society has decided the sport is too dangerous but we still want to do it.

It's Miyagi's story of the grape.

Miyagi: Now, ready?
Daniel: Yeah, I guess so.
Miyagi: [sighs] Daniel-san, must talk. [they both kneel]
Miyagi: Walk on road, hm? Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk middle, sooner or later [makes squish gesture]
Miyagi: get squish just like grape. Here, karate, same thing. Either you karate do "yes" or karate do "no." You karate do "guess so," [makes squish gesture] Miyagi: just like grape.

Either football do yes or football do no.
