Coming to the Atlantic League in 2019: The High Point Rockers!
The fan-voted team name and logos were officially unveiled on Thursday night at the site of the club's new ballpark, BB&T Point, in North Carolina.

the name is fine, it's just weird how everyone in minor league baseball wants to be goofy when it comes to their logos

High Point is known for their furniture manufacturing and distribution. The chair is a play on the name.
Yeah, they could have done better, but it's their choice.

I didn't know that regarding High Point, I guess it does make sense after all

At one time it was the furniture capital of the US. It's a very small town with these huge Las Vegas-ish showrooms that are only used a few times a year. No lie. Imagine Mayberry with 4-5 casino style buildings just plopped in the center of town that are completely empty 320 days a year. People come from all over the world and hotels sell out in neighboring cities Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

I've stayed in High Point.
