These threads are silly. F1 is what it is, and if you like IMSA, Indy, Nascar, or something else, watch it. No need to wish one would be more like the other when they both exist.

These threads are always great.

No one ever starts a thread trying to justify F1 against Indy though.

These hybrids are so fragile and overregulated that a simple street circuit exposes every flaw.

I'm not defending F1. I prefer Indy, but to be fair in the history of F1 cars not finishing races because of engine problems and being fragile was normal The last 10 years have been the exception to the rule.

How's KMag doing?

He's doing awesome. BMW had a 1-2 podium at Spa thanks in part to KMag's defense. I'm excited to see him in a NASCAR is a few weeks. "Rubbin' is racin'" should give a menace like KMag room to throw some elbows.

As to F1 vs Indy, it's almost like they're different series. Who knew?

Indy has a 15 year old chassis

I don't think I've watched an Indy race in my entire life and watch every F1 race, but I certainly wish F1 was using a 15 year old chassis. These airplane size cars F1 is driving around are ridiculous and dated plenty of their tracks. It would certainly be a more entertaining sport if they didn't change like I guess Indy hasn't.

Yes, that’s my point. They both exist, so why waste the energy?

I watched the Indy race last night. The Announcers were using F1 terminology. It was weird.

There were multiple drivers in the field that couldn’t hack it in Formula One.

If you want to watch the best racing in motorsport, it is MotoGP, and it isn't close.
