Would you consider flipflopping the 2B and SS?

No. Because your 2B/weaker defender will have a hard time adjusting to a longer throw and a different angle from the plate. You can pitch away if you're concerned about hitting direction.

No because angles of playing positions are different plus it messes up coverage on steals dp etc

Did you ever stop to ask yourself that if this was an optimal strategy that short and 2nd would just switch up everytime a different handed batter came up?
