I saw a kid get drilled in the cup stealing a base. It split the cup in two. It can happen anywhere on the baseball field. It's best to have it in at all times.

Two of my best friends refused. They were crazy. I was padded up in baseball. I lacerated my spleen TWICE playing baseball. So I had my cup and a padded flak jacket kinda thing around my torso.

I played 3rd base senior year. Couldn't have paid me to not wear a cup.

I just went to the closet to grab my Cup & put it on. Not taking any chances from now on.
