My guess is that Tebow had played at Texas and you currently had Young, your view would be slightly different.

That's about as plain as it gets and it's true. VY wow.... That was one of the cooler non LSU moments I've seen in CF.

No way. Young wasn't nearly as good as Leinart before that last season. I agree out of the 2 of them that Young was the better player for one single season, but Leinart had a better career.

So you think if Young had played with Reggie Bush, LenDale White, Dwayne Jarrett and in the Pac-10 with that USC team that he would have fared worse than Leinart?

whoa

don't bring up the pac10 when vince did his damage against the big 12

and vince did have sick talent around him, for the record

Young vastly improved over his time at Texas. Leinart was a stud from the get go. I already said Young was better his last year, but he just wasn't the incredible ball player before that IMO. His passing improved tremendously.

the main difference was when mack allowed vince to be vince. after that he was a completely different QB

vince young is currently the greatest college football player i've ever seen. so, no, methinks you don't know what the frick you're talking about.

having that said, tebow is well ahead of schedule to surpass young by the time he leaves.

Maybe so, when it is all said and done I don't think you can say he had a better College career or was a better College QB for his career then Leinart. Leinart can end up going down as a Danny Wuerful, but he had an incredible run. Booty came in right behind him as a top recruit and looked like shite IMO.

very good way to describe the difference

haha i couldnt find any other words to seperate them. they cant really be compared imo. its never really fair to compare QBs who arent the same style player. in a straight up schoolyard pick, id take VY

i can't think of a guy who was more dominant on the field who provided the intangibles that young did

how many individual players transform programs?

historically, you'd have to point to tommie frazier or barry sanders or someone

but from my timeframe of seriously watching cfb (2000-present) yeah, young is the best.

FWIW, if I'm not mistaken Brett Farve beat both LSU and Florida St. with Southern Miss talent around him and Curly fricking Hallman calling the shots.

well sanders is a RB, and you can argue literally 50 RBs. sanders had the best seasons, but you can make the arguments for others

and vince young is tommie frazier with the ability to throw for 3,000 yards

i still get chills watching this..

NC on line 4th and 4

I remember that play like it happened in slow motion. i literally couldnt believe what i had seen. that was one of the most amazing performances, and he capped it off in perfect fashion

i enjoy watching young much more than i enjoy watching tebow, just like how i prefer watching a WR in the open field and not a fullback
decent analogy.

The only 3 people I have seen COMPLETELY take over a football game has been Vince Young, Adrian Peterson, and Bo Jackson.

Off the top of my head:

Adrian Peterson vs. Tulsa (3 years ago?)
Bo Jackson vs. Tecmo Bowl
Vince Young vs. Everyone he played in college.

I can't think of a better one man show in college ball than VY.

for 12gauge:

VY > TT and it is not close.

VY was robbed for not winning the Heisman his Jr. year.

TT got it last year by default.

Frazier's O-line and RB he was pitching to, helped him a ton. Big reason for his success. Sanders was the best I have ever seen play college football. I was to young for anyone before that.

I wouldnt even call him the top "running" QB i have ever seen.

I dont think he transformed Texas. Maybe "defined" or "put them over the top", I wouldnt say transformed.
