So the Seahawks are coming off a very unimpressive 12-7 win against one of the NFL's worst teams

I guess it depends on what you call impressive. Maybe they didn't do much for your fantasy team but they had the best defense in the NFL last year and held a team to 7 points in a gritty road win.

And the Carolina defense is legit.

I guess nothing makes a team look worse than a gritty road win to start the season

People forget just how difficult it is to win on the road, period. Most elite teams finish the season around 0.500 on the road. Baltimore won the SB last year, despite finishing 4-4 on the road.

completely disagree. Carolina's defense is legit and the fact that a west coast team won the game is a huge statement.

Btw, whenever Carolina finds a legit 2nd receiving threat they will be a better team.

but it seems silly for people to already putting them in the same category as the Broncos, Saints, Niners, etc. If they beat SF next week that'll be a huge win for them, but until then I'm not ready to crown them just yet.
One is not like the others....

Seahawks are super impressive, at home. But you could say the same thing last year.

I'll wait to see them play on the road against a tougher team before I decide if they're truly "the" team to beat.

Traveling to Carolina in Week 1 and winning was impressive.

This is true, Hawks have a handful of tough road games. San Fran, Atlanta, etc.

Well you have the Saints going 8-8 or 9-7 at the ABSOLUTE BEST. You also said the Saints did nothing to improve their defense. I mean, I hope you'll eat some crow.

As long as Ron Rivera is the coach in Carolina, I won't be impressed by anyone beating the Panthers. They have the potential to be a good team but that's all it'll be with Rivera, potential. Also they scored 12 points in a road game which goes back to my "not the same team away from Seattle" point.

So that was impressive but the Saints going to Tampa and winning in shitty weather is not?

Well sheesh, if you're not impressed, then it was a shitty win. Might as well not even count it.

Wait, I think there's one team out of place in this sentence, and it's not the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, or Denver Broncos. What exactly have the New Orleans Saints done to be grouped with the NFL's best? They're a year removed from being 7-9. As of now, they are behind at least the Seahawks, 49ers, Broncos, Packers, Texans, Bears, Falcons (one win against them to start the season doesn't change my mind) and Patriots in my book.
