Illinois has fired Tim Beckman, source tells @FOXsports. its reported by footballscoop

It used to be a decent job IMO. Maybe somebody like Rhett Lashlee or Chad Morris could turn it around.

Damn. I can't imagine if Kevin Sumlin got fired right now. Total pandemonium. But Illinois also doesn't really care about football.

Seemed like they did when they had the Zooker.

Anyways, does Rutgers follow suit with Flood depending on how that situation plays out?

They must have looked really bad in the last fall scrimmage before the season starts.

Does it count if the season hasn't actually started though?

Illinois says it has learned of efforts to deter injury reporting and influence medical decisions.

He was likely gone this season anyways. Cubit will be a solid 1 year interim. PJ Fleck and Justin Fuente are names to watch at the end of the year.
