quote:lebron really wasn't this remarkable player in 2007. Yes, he was a top player in the NBA but he wasn't top 5. That was when he was still a Russell Westbrook level of unreliable three point shooter. His historic game 5 really glosses over the fact that he was merely a good player that year and into the playoffs as well. So yea, put this year's steph curry on that Cleveland team and give him that years eastern conference and he probably gets them to the finals
You think Curry takes 2007 Cleveland to the Finals?
quote:meh. They are both equally responsible for their 2nd half come back in game 6 and steph still had over 30 points and hit six threes
If it wasn't for Thompson, the Warriors would've lost this series.

Wasn't tip 20 in ORtg. Was barely top 15 in DRtg. Was barely top 10 in ws/48. And was just starting to come into his own as a facilitator. He really wasn't

Who were the 5 players who were better? Hell, you might be right.

quote:and that also led to his raw output being greater because he was the entire team. You can't have it both ways. You can't point to his raw output and go "see! He's this top 5 player" and then go "his per 100 numbers and other metrics don't really matter because he played on a poor team"
He was playing with dogshit man

Equally responsible?
Without Klay going unconscious there would have been no game 7 tonight
