What does MVP of the finals mean?

Lebron played an all time finals. Obviously that meant nothing. Why don't they just present finals MVPS to teams since it is obviously a team award?

don't lie to us! You secretly wanted Curry to win it so you could complain about it

Also since he missed 9 or so free throws in a row in game 5 did he win the MVP while also setting the record for most consecutive FTs missed in an NBA Finals?

Steph created some wide open shots for Iggy by forcing double teams and hedging on screens.

Steph, you the real MVP.

Pretty sure they were chanting "bullshite" the whole time during the MVP thing

For a while it was a battle between the BS shouts and the warrior fans yelling Warriors

Well through 5 games iggy's advanced stats still destroy steph's and while the stats aren't available yet, I'd bet the gap was widened in game 6.

Anyone arguing for Steph over iggy is a filthy casual.

The Cavs defense was entirely focused on Curry.

Half of Iggy's shots tonight were wide open looks. Curry has to work hard offensively on basically every single possession.

Obviously, Iggy was more impactful defensively than Curry. However, there is no doubt that any Warriors player/coach/exec would tell you that Curry was more vital to their success this series than Iggy.

Might want to check with Steve Kerr on that.

He said going into game 5 that Iggy was their best player in this series. I would be pretty shocked if his opinion changed.
