Stay with Wilson. Draft QB
Maybe add a warm body backup and this is your answer. They have killed it in the draft lately (with strangely enough, the huge exception being Zach Wilson) and are a very young team. It sucks that Rodgers went down, but with the exception of QB, its not like this year was a quickly closing window.
The only intriguing option would be Davis Mills. Has a lot of experience for still being under a rookie deal and was coming along fairly well on a horrible team. In my opinion, he is the only long term option that would likely be starting before mid-season.

Here's a crazy idea.....trade for Kyler Murray. The Cardinals are in tank mode and probably want Caleb Williams or Drake Maye. The Cardinals also have the Texans 1st round draft pick for next year. That pick will probably be a top 5 pick so maybe they can get Marvin Harrison Jr. The Jets get their 1st round pick back since Rodgers is done for the season. That would mean the Cardinals have 3 1st round picks next year and could turn the team around. From the Jets perspective they weren't counting on having that 1st round pick anyway. Murry gets a few weeks to learn the playbook while he's still rehabbing.

Do the jets even have any cap to pay another quarterback?
Cam was working for peanuts when he was with the Patriots.

Matt Ryan?
The Colts are paying him $12 million to sit on the couch.

I think they’re gonna kinda protect Zach like they did back when Sanchez was young. Zach has some talent (and is very quick) but they put the entire weight of NY on him as the franchise savior.
For a guy who may have been a touch immature and really young that can frick you up. Now that he is kind of the afterthought I think he may play a bit better. I think there is going to be a frickton of play action with a few deep shots.

That was probably the plan last year.

There's even more pressure on him now because unlike last year they actually have expectations for this season.

Disagree, all the air has been let out. Think it’s different.
