Really wish the committee would have had to make that decision. 14 point loss to #1 on the road compared to 22 point loss to #2 at home. Wins over #5 and #16 compared to wins over probably #9 and Notre Dame. Does the OSU brand still get them in?

I’m not sure that you’re suggesting this, but I’ve seen the narrative emerge that Tennessee lost because Hooker got hurt. He got hurt in the 4th Q when UT was already down big. They were going to lose that game before he got hurt. They lost because their defense gave up 60+ points to Spencer Rattler lol.

I’m not suggesting that at all. USC wins that game regardless. I’m just posing the question if UT won and also Hooker not getting hurt. I said it that way because you know even if they won Hooker being hurt would be used against them in this scenario.

Why is Hooker being out being so talked about but the committee let OSU in with their 3rd string QB in 2014?

I mean Tennessee’s backup won 55-0 in his one start as well

Because they are Tennessee and not OSU. You know a Heisman candidate QB being out would have been used against them by the committee.

If Vandy goes 11-1 with only the loss to UGA, they are in above OSU.

USCe just scored to go up by 11 when Hooker got hurt and fumbled on the first play of the next drive.

Yes, if UT had finished 11-1 they would be in. Probably as the 3 seed to avoid the semifinal rematch.

If they had won a game they lost by 30 they'd be in? Strong take.
