with lack of top tier talent in the league, i would imagine it's his to lose every year until Kevin Durant can take it to Lebron's level.

Even further MVP is a regular season award. It's voted on at the end of the regular season for a reason. Playoff success has nothing to do with it. The playoffs have the Finals MVP. (Or Super Bowl MVP)
