Are we talking about Lebron and Kobe as the players they are today with years and years of NBA experience and development both physically and mentally? Or are we talking about if Lebron and Kobe were 20/21 year olds like everybody else?

If it's the former, yes.

If it's the latter, hell no.

If it's the later and we take Lebron at 21, 2 years ago, then they still win it all. I'm not so sure about Kobe at 21 being able to win it

Damn, I am surprised with all the YES answers.

I was thinking NO Radford couldn't win it all.

What do I know, lol.

bump.

watching the OU-UNC game made me think of this thread.

Do you all still think Lebron and 4 small school scrubs easily wins the NCAA tourney. The hands down best college player in america and future #1 pick with a much better supporting cast than LBJ would have in the scenario is down by 20.

Also, are we talking about LBJ at 20 years old? b/c that's just a silly question, it's an obvious no. LBJ today? like earlier, i still say no. People are forgetting that a squad like UNC probably has 5-6 guys that will sign NBA contracts. LBJ would have zero NBA caliber teammates.

Well Radford got UNC in the first round right? So UNC would have overlooked them and Radford would have won.

Unless they get Lebron/Kobe for the whole regular season and go 32-1 and grab like an 8 seed.

So at the start of the NCAA Tournament, Lebron or Kobe gets to join Radford.

With Lebron, they win the national championship.

With Kobe, they lose in the first round, only because they have to play UNC.

So Kobe and 4 scrubs beats a focused UNC. Also, this is a hypotherical...doesn't have to be Radford. Any typical 16 seed will work. Also, let's assume the UNC team is 100% healthy and a guy like Lawson isn't resting.

No, I think Radford with Kobe loses to UNC.

I think Radford with James beats UNC, and goes on to win the national championship.

It's not happening. The other players just suck too badly. Defensively, it doesn't make a huge difference and offensively he'll get his, but his team will miss a huge portion of the open shots he gets them.

Pitt was up by like 3 on their 16 seed with like 3:30 left.

Didn't Lebron beat the Pistons by himself in the 4th quarter a couple of years ago? He scored like 25 straight points. I would see Lebron scoring around 80 points at least. A zone would be unblievble in the middle. There is not a guy in college close to what Lebron ever was.

I guess if he got in foul trouble they would lose.

i agree. Even if LBJ is allowed to patrol the lane he will wear down at some point, and UNC would have open shots all game. Even at the rim UNC can send waves of people at LBJ and probably pick up some fouls...yeah, LBJ would probably have 10 blocked shots, but it's just too many skilled, athletic guys coming at him with no real help.

you are taking this way too literal i think. Also, Pitt is one of biggest chokers in recent memory. they have NEVER made a final 4, and this was their first elite 8.

Also, remember i said a focused, on their game strong #1 seed like UNC. Pitt is never really focused in the big dance.
