If Lakers can’t get Kawhi or Kyrie, here is what they should do.

Don’t max Jimmy Butler, he’s overrated and not worth the max, same with Kemba. You fill the roster out with depth. Priority #1 is bojan bogdanivich, although not great on defense he’s the best 3pt shooter on the market and should thrive next to Lebron/AD. Next you look at trying to secure Pat Beverly, if that doesn’t work out you look at throwing the MLE at Rubio/Collison. For shooting guard the goal should be Danny Green or JJ Reddick, preferably Danny Green. Fill the rest of the roster out with ring chasing vets. Money looks like this.

$15mil- Bojan Bogdonvich
$10mil for Pat Beverly or MLE (approx 6mil for Lakers) for Collison or Rubio
MLE (if you can get Beverly to sign)- Reddick or Green
Resign Rondo and Javale on vet minimum deals and bring in a couple other ring chasers.

PG: Either Beverly Collison or Rubio with Rondo as backup
SG: Either Green or Reddick with an Austin Rivers type as backup
F: Bron/Bogdonavich/Kuzma
C: AD/Javale

*sigh* this isn’t true. At a minimum they will have $27mil. AD will be waiving his trade kicker

I'd prioritize Brogdon over Bogdanovich. The rest of how they should fill the roster out, I agree with.

It was reported way back in December. Rich Paul can get him to waive his trade kicker for getting him traded to a place he wanted to go. I swear, Woj reports tom foolery and everyone goes crazy.

That was my first thought as well but Brogdon is too injury prone

Sure but they are not free and have to be figured in. The NBA vet minimum is over a million..

You sign vets for vet minimums after you hit the salary cap. You don’t save money for vet mins
