amazing at how Eli's put up better numbers every year since they left.....hmmmm.

And even with Tiki running all over defenses Eli still sucked arse.

Cool. No one here is talking about how great Eli was in 2006 or before. Yeah, he sucked. That was his first 2-3 seasons actually playing.

Brady had nothing at WR until '07 and when he finally got some talent to work with he went on to have arguably the best season for a QB ever.

Just want to point out that you said ^^^^ this...after talking about how Eli has yet to put up numbers like Brady's seasons in 07, 10-11....and also saying Eli's had better WR's to work with.

The three former Giants you keep referring to have long been gone but Eli's been much better off since then.

But yeah...go ahead and use those three guys to prove your point that he's much better off this year throwing to those guys.

My point with Welker was it's retarded to claim he'd be "bagging groceries" without Tom Brady.

And one top-line WR is still one more than Eli's had for the past 3-4 seasons. Victor Cruz is NOT a "top-line" WR. He's good and he does what he's supposed to do. That's far from being a Randy Moss.

It is possible. He almost went to the Vikings (instead signed with NE) and he probably would not have done too well. Without Brady, he has been nothing more than a #2 receiver.

Agree to disagree. There are not too many I would put above him. The only ones FOR SURE above Cruz are Calvin, Fitz, and a healthy Andre.

No shite. No one else is close to Moss.

yeah....already know that.

And one of Brady's best season's ever was 2007. But Brady obviously didn't have the WR talent that season than Eli's had the past few.....obviously.

Seriously? You would take Cruz over Colston?

Wes Welker is in a perfect offense for him to be in. Welker isn't the type of WR to be a #1. He's a great slot guy and New England put him in the perfect system......and yes...they do have a great QB throwing to him.

Saints have a HELL of a lot better WR Corp than Eli.....but does that take anything away from Brees? Of course not.

Probably. I would also consider other guys like a healthy Miles Austin (not sure if it is fair to include him), Hakeem Nicks, Roddy White, Mike Wallace, Steve Smith, and maybe even more over Colston.

Colston is really good, but I do not know if I would consider him top 10.

Por Que?

I would take Nicks over Colston. If Cruz has another year like this year, sure I would take him over Colston too.

Completely agree. I was just saying he was not that good in the pros before NE.

So based on this sentence, you're saying you think Nix is better than Cruz?

I'd say the top 3 pure WR's from both are about equal but throw in guys like Graham and Sproles and you have a lot better group of people to throw to. I've been saying for a while that a guy like Sproles would be vicious for the Giants.

His success does have a lot to do with Brady.....but it's more Bellichek.

lol

Cruz
Nicks
Manningham

Colston
Moore
Henderson (or Meachem or whoever)

Not even fricking close. Giants have the two best WR in that group easily.

So after one decent year, you are willing to give Cruz his due and say he is a top five receiver, after Nicks of course, but Eli hasn't proven anything to you?

Can you contradict yourself anymore?

Uh, what? Earlier in this exact thread I said that Eli could be the fourth or fifth best QB in the NFL right (if you do not include Peyton).

When did I say that Eli has not proven anything? I was complimenting him for his impressive ypa, and I boasted a little when I said he was prediction for my breakthrough player. He is no Peyton, but he has definitely proven himself as a tier 2 (very good) QB.

So after one decent year,

FWIW, his year was not decent. It was fantastic.

He was third in receiving yards with 1,536, his ypc was 18.7, and he is not a half bad salsa dancer.

To be fair. The Giants would NOT have won that game yesterday with Peyton as QB. Eli is TOUGHER than Peyton. He got hit over and over and kept getting up in BAD conditions and did what he needed to do. FACT. I don't think Peyton could have done that.

Before this season, how many games did Peyton miss due to injury?

The only thing that kept him off the field this season was a serious neck injury...FACT.
