the game will be tarnished forever, and I will look back on the years before and say, "at least I was able to witness college football when passion, excitement, and devotion to the game were at its peak." Because if we go to a playoff that is exactly what they will be taking away.

what's the best part about any sport other than college football? It's the post season.

I'd trade our win over GT last year for a win over any of the SEC teams we lost to. It's almost like the bowl games are just for fun unless your in a BCS bowl.

Is the NCAA basketball tournament tarnished?? It's pretty exciting if you ask me. I'm all for just having a +1

lol I thought this might get a reaction. Anyway if you guys really want a playoff, might as well turn into the NBA right?

Cuz here is how our season might go in the future with a playoff. loss to auburn, loss to alabama, loss to florida.

Does it matter? No, because were still in the playoffs and the regular season is now meaningless.

Do you think three loss teams will be part of the college playoff format?

Auburn undefeated and not even in the championship game = EPIC FAIL.

If LSU ever goes undefeated and is not put in the game, there would be rioting in Louisiana. This board would crash for sure.

Each year there are at least 4 teams with a legitimate argument for being in the game. The system, though exciting isnt fair. There is no true winner, it remains cloudy if the national champion was the best team. a mini playoff (4 or 8 teams) would be the best solution. Im not for a full blown playoff.

As for the NBA comparison. You have no argument. Over 100 teams in CFB and way way way fewer games.

If you think our players won't care if they lose to Bama, Auburn, or Florida then you are a moron. For one, if we lose those three games we won't be in any playoff. Secondly, you're crazy if you think these guys won't still have passion for the game. You ever watch High School kids play football WITH a playoff? Does it look like they don't play with passion?! I freakin hate arguments like that!

Worst argument ever.

3 losses doesn't get you into the national championship playoff.

Why not just keep them then and have a playoff? Having a playoff doesn't mean the bowls have to go away.

Just wait until those old A.P. voters die off. And T.V. throws so much money at the ignorant conference heads, and Notre Dame, WTF, and you will see play-offs baby.
Four teams, three games.

Yeah right...and the world is flat..and women shouldn't vote..and greenhouse gasses aren't dooming our planet..and by the way, what bowl committee did you say you were on?
