As a Saints fan this is absolutely one team I hated but loved at the same time. I feel it’s a team often forgotten and in my opinion one of the most dominating and feared defenses of all time. You can’t even play defense the way the played it anymore!

Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman, Ahmad Brooks, Justin Smith, Dashon Goldson, Donte Whitner, Carlos Rogers

I’m sorry bro. All the flags have me missing the hard hitting days.

It was a fun time to be a 49er fan but also a brutal one. 3 straight years we were right there and 3 straight years had heartbreaking last minute losses.

And No Fly Zone in 2015.

I thought Jacksonville would step up to elite status, as they have a ton of talent.

This bears defense will be remembered as one of the greats. Maybe not this specific one, but the corps group of players they have you could match up with any in the last 30 years. Best pass rusher in the league, elite defensive tackle, elite young middle linebacker, best free safety in the league...they're just dominant in all phases. A competent QB in Chicago and they're runaway favorites for the SB

That defense was LIT, the nastiest, meanest defense outside of the late 80s Philly Eagles never to win the Super Bowl. Of course it all started with Aldon Smith and Willis and those guys enabled all the others to contribute and become stars in their own right.

The Super Bowl loss sucked because the team seemed asleep for an entire half. It was like having a high-powered gaming computer that wouldn't turn on because you forgot to update a driver.

The Seahawks NFC Championship game loss was worse to me. Pete Carroll, Richard Sherman, the annoying-arse "12th man" fans that think they're God's gift to football fandom.....ugh.

Justin Smith was the one who made that whole defense work. He was a damn beast on the middle of that defensive line.

They weren’t that good. Couldn’t win a Super Bowl.
