Just like the LSU fans were secretly embarrassed about Laron Landry.

Not sure embarrassed is the right word...but his constant trash talking pissed me off. He would make a tackle 35 yards downfield and then talk trash...I mean come on.

Were Saints fans embarrassed when Jimmy Graham yelled at Panthers fans "suck my dick" a few weeks back?

I didn't even think what Sherman said was that bad. He was fired up after the win and they were probably talking shite to each other all game.

Not surprising that this would get blown out of proportion, though.

Why would anyone be embarrassed by what Sherman said? I'm tired of people acting like football has to be this classy sport where the QB's are untouched and any behavior that is even slightly over the top shunned. It's like they want to make football as boring as their own lives.

It's a game and what Richard Sherman did was extremely entertaining. I'm not expecting any football players to be "classy" but I'm expecting to be entertained. At least Sherman did that.

I missed the interview because I hate Seattle and did not want to see them celebrate. After all the talk, I had to go back to watch it because I was really expecting something horrible. After seeing the interview, I'm kind of "meh." It was a little dickish, but done in the heat of the moment. I did not find it "thuggish." His lockeroom interview was much more subdued.

A little bravado is fine. I know society and the media have a vested interested in feminizing men as much as possible. I can deal with a little masculine bravado in football.

I wouldn't call that masculine bravado, it's more on the verge of a TO breakdown

I think of it as a figurative counting coup over the body of your fallen enemy.
