Not a good thing to have at your franchise spot. The QB position.

My point is you never hear Cam is not putting the work in. Could he do better in public relations? Sure, but I don't think it is what keeps his team from playoff contention. Ron Rivera is just not a very good coach. Period. Cam is tough and executes the plays. He has freakish ability and he can pass from the pocket. Cam is second in the league in yards per attempt, I think. The Panthers' backfield has dealt with inconsistency and injuries all season. Cam is doing all that he can do. For Pete's Sake, he is leading the team in passing and rushing.

A bandwagon fan? Technically aren't all NFL fans bandwagon fans to an extent?

Oh and BTW I'm a Redskins fan. Not a Panthers guy.

The Redskins' starting RB has over 1,600 yards rushing.

The Panthers' starting RB has barely over 500 yards rushing.

It's a team sport. And, let's not forget who the coach of Washington is.

Almost 7,700 yards passing in two seasons.

ETA: Pretty crazy how close they would be if Griffin had played all 16 games

Minus the INT's. Griffin has some intangibles Newton doesn't.

Cam to me is like Stafford and Cutler. They show flashes of brilliance coupled with very inconsistent games (multiple INTs) that will get you bounced from the playoffs quick.

This is the problem. Deangelo Williams finished the season with 152 attempts, ranking 26th in the league among RB's. Jonathan Stewart finished with 93 attempts (both finished about 3.5/3.6 yards per rush). Carolina just didn't have a legitimate running threat outside of Cam. That makes a huge difference.

the results have nothing to do with their egos.
