I can remember when Carl Froch was a World Champion at Super-Middleweight and his wife Rachel would attend his fights, sit ringside near the announcers covering the fight and shriek like a banshee EVERY ROUND of the fight for the entire round.
She was annoying as hell when watching Froch fight, and I'd often mute the sound because of her antics. Guess she had to try to get her few minutes of "air time" somehow since she was not the center of attention.
It really doesn't take but one or two idiots to mess up a broadcast.
