Let's see how they do in the tourney. Beating up west coast teams isn't that much of an overall accomplishment.

Doing that for over 20 years is a damn good accomplishment. This has gone on longer than Bama’s or North Dakota State’s FB dominance.

Making the Tourney that many times in a row in a traditional 1 or 2 bid league is arguably more impressive than what Kentucky, UNC, etc do.

Think a couple ncaa titles are required to be a powerhouse. And they don’t even have one.

UCLA
Kentucky
Louisville
Duke
UNC
Florida
Oklahoma State
Villanova
UConn
Kansas
Michigan State
Indiana
San Francisco
Cincinnati
NC State

These are the schools that have multiple titles. Clearly, San Francisco isn’t a powerhouse. Okie State’s titles were in the ‘40’s, not a powerhouse.

Of the 15 that have won more than once, I’m thinking maybe 7 at the most would be a powerhouse currently.

This also means these schools aren’t now or were never powerhouses:

Virginia
Wisconsin
Baylor
Michigan
UNLV
Syracuse
Temple
St. John’s
Georgetown
Houston

IMO, you have to at least have multiple titles to be considered a powerhouse.

Gonzaga is dirty and doesn’t play anybody. They’re part of the cabal of crooks who run college basketball. Wake me up when they win something.

Based off of what allegations? Their program was built off of snatching up overlooked players, not 5 stars.

Last season alone, they played Oregon, Washington, Michigan, Arizona, and UNC.

The year before they went to Maui and knocked off Illinois, Arizona, and Duke. They also played Washington, Tennessee, and UNC consecutively.

2017-18: played in PK80 against Ohio State, Florida, and Texas. Also played non-conf games against Creighton, Villanova, Washington, San Diego State.

2016-17: San Diego State, Florida, Iowa State, Arizona, Washington, Tennessee.

I could go on, but your assertion that they don’t play anybody is garbage. They routinely knock off Pac-12 teams, and stack up NC schedules moreso than anybody else.

Regular season team. Dominate through the schedule and then gets rolled in the tourney. Rooted for them for years because I like the smaller schools making noise, but they always blow it.

Not incredible for me, took a few years coming but, sports being outcome-oriented, it don't mean a thing without the ring

11 straight years of making the second weekend is also insane.

2nd round does not equal second weekend fwiw

During their run, they’ve been consistently more successful in March than anybody in the Pac-12. They’ve been bounced in the Round of 64 three times, same as Duke. Kentucky has only been out in that round once, but they’ve been to the NIT twice.

By your logic, everyone who doesn’t win the natty gets rolled.

Yeah people forget about that. They arose from a league where if you don't win your Conference tournament you probably don't get in.

While the NCAA back in the day was letting in more than half of the ACC and the Big10. Shite Villanova got into the Tournament in 1985 as an #8 seed despite going 9-7 in the Big East. Small Conferences got no respect and usually one auto.
