I'd say #3 vs #14 is significant.

10 5* players versus 2 5* is a chasm of separation.

They lost by 6 on the road against a top 3 team. They also outgained the opponent.

Bummer loss. But hardly the end of the world.

I hate to say this to you but “stars” on a high school player are opinions. Many. Get better and some don’t measure up. I’ve never been a fan of that system. But, coaching is the biggest part of development of every player, so in that way yes Day and his staff should be bashed for it.

Losing 3 in a row with the CFP on the line in all three is a tough pill to swallow.

Beating Michigan and/or winning a National Title is their world.

I get that. But Michigan is legitimately very good now. Neither Urban nor Tressel went against UM teams this good for 3 consecutive years.

So tell us how they were overrated the most every year.
- 2022, lost on missed fg to national champion
- 2021 Rose Bowl Champs,
-2020, won CFP Semi, played as undermanned against Bama and lost big but so did everyone else that yr
-2019 CFP semi down to end, many bad calls against them, scoop and score anyone?
-2018 bad loss to Purdue so nobody after October was hyping them, won Rose Bowl.
- 2017 lost early to Oklahoma and bad loss to Iowa, noone was hyping them. Won NY6 game, Cotton Bowl.

Every year though right? Even though that takes us back 7 seasons and in none of those were they, the most overrated.

Prove my point. They are gifted an easy road to the postseason every year because the Big Ten is terrible and when they get there, they usually get bounced quick. They are 3-4 in the CFP (1-4 in their last four trips) and 3-6 all-time in National Championship appearances.

They have maybe 1-2 tough games a year and in the last three years, they can't win them.

3-6 is not a hood record, but a lot of teams would love to be good enough to get there.

A lot of schools would love to get to start preseason top 5 and only have to play one game against an above average team every year

Agreed. And most would be happy with it. Is it fair??? Maybe not. But is it Ohio states fault that the rest of the conference sucks????

I never said it was their fault; I said they are perpetually overrated.

There is no way they should get in the CFP this year. They shouldn’t have been in last year.

The Big Ten doesn’t deserve two spots.

I thought their performance against Georgia validated their inclusion as the 4 seed.

But maybe we saw different games.

I will concede they have an easier path than SEC teams. But they can’t control strength of conference, and they also schedule at least 1 blue blood out of conference nearly every year.
