Joe Buck is actually ok. I didn't like him at first, but I found that I was guilty of associating him with the buffoon color-guys that he was/is paired with.

He started off in baseball being paired with Tim McCarver, who in my mind is the absolute worst I have ever had to listen to.

And Joe is paired with meathead Troy Aikman for football, another less than superb color guy.

Made a discovery last night. ESPN has the worldwide broadcast rights. If you have BT Sport on your system, you can bypass FOX. Buck Martinez and some other guy. It was watchable.

He’s the go to person for BOTH football and baseball on Fox. How the hell did that happen?

Yankees fans are fricking snowflakes

I love Smoltz calling games. He does a great job of getting you into the pitchers mindset without doing the Romo prediction.

I actually don’t think they are , they’re pretty fricking ruthless
Trashy in the bleachers too

It’s just funny one poster said Smoltz was anti Astros.
Everyone thinks announcer hates their guy

Artie Lange killed the old Joe Buck

The Pardon My Take Episode where they breakdown the short history of Joe Buck Live with the different points of view from Artie Lange, Joe Buck, and Paul Rudd is a good listen.

I always liked Brennaman. You must have heard something I haven’t. But I had to watch an old WGN game on YouTube to remember he was once on your broadcast crew. It was nice to go back in time and listen to a legend like Harry Carray and Steve Stone and watch a game without anyone talking about pitch counts, teams combining for 25 strikeouts, and TV networks filling the screen with annoying and needless graphics.

I don't think he hated his tenure at WGN. The story I remember being told is the WGN execs didn't want him working at another network but it didn't interfere with his duties at WGN.

The Cubs hatred is just funny because he only turns it up on Reds broadcasts. Fox broadcasts he's pretty neutral. I remember back when MLB.TV only showed the home broadcasts so when they played the Reds you'd get him and Chris Welsh I believe. I wonder if it's just for show or maybe something else happened when he was at WGN. Could be nothing, who knows.

I probably go Nantz, Micheals, and Buck for NFL. They’re all good. I like Testatore calling college games, not real big of his NFL calling. Rece Davis and Chris Fowler need to switch spots back for Gameday and calling games. Pam Ward is awful and certainly not better than Joe Buck. Brennanen is good, Albert not really.

I like Joe Buck but his David Tyree call is an all time terrible call
its like he gets confused and then decides to whisper the call same thing he did for David Freese 11th inning walkoff.

He has ZERO charisma or wittiness, he's awful.
