there's no good way to really rate that besides the "eye test" which is fricking stupid to begin with. the 2002 ohio state squad never fit any of these standards. they skated by cincinnati, illinois, purdue, etc.

If Mizzou wins tonight, and Auburn beats them too.. it's gonna be hard for voters to give OSU the nod. That's an INCREDIBLE run by Auburn against an actual tough schedule vs OSU who has faced ONE ranked team and narrowly escaped that game AND some against unranked teams too..
Still, OSU is a media darling. We'll see.

OSU still has to play Michigan State I think. OSU will lose to Michigan State if they play that game the way they played Michigan today. Both OSU and Auburn would be one loss but with OSU's being more recent, I would expect a leap frog.
Florida State plays Duke for the ACC, right? That'll be no problem so I see that OSU vs Michigan State game as the only chance Auburn has.

I think OSU will go simply because they don't want to see another undefeated team get the shaft. Oklahoma St had a better resume in 2011 and destroyed OU which some thought should have been enough to get them in. OSU vs FSU.

I'm sure you don't, but they would have a better resume than osu. You can't hold auburn's close wins against them and then argue for osu.

So going undefeated is all that matters? What about niu then? They are undefeated and have done it in more impressive fashion than osu.
