Because the NBA was in season with players traveling and playing against each other.

Planes are great places to pass diseases around.

NBA players were in season, high fiving fans, traveling etc during the outbreak. Football was pretty much over. Try to keep up

NBA was in season, and travel a lot more than NFL players, especially during this time of year. It doesn’t seem that odd to me. A better comparison would be the NHL players.

I think it proves this disease has been going around a lot longer than we realize. They would have had to pass it to each other while games were still being played weeks/months ago

For having a metric unit in your username I'm disappointed in your math skills, or lack thereof.

First reported case was 2 weeks before the biggest football game of the year... yet 0 player cases from that large gathering. Rosters are much larger and the player interaction is a bit more than your regular season NBA games. It's pretty safe to say we can narrow down when it was or wasn't here yet.
