Shaq? Hope you are kidding. They are an apples to oranges comparison. Shaq was not going to do anything without a Kobe or Wade. If you cannot shoot free throws you are out in a discussion of GOAT basketball players. GOAT Centers can be a separate discussion.

When has Kobe done something without the best front court talent in the league?

Anyone touting any of this generations players as even in the stratosphere as MJ never watched him play. shite there isn't a Magic or Bird ( durant is comparable). In today's game.

In the 2nd round of these playffs, Kobe is 7 of 25 shooting in the 4th quarter.

The guy who is being called a choker by most around here is 10 of 17 in the 2nd round.

Good times.

I've come to the realization that clutch is defined by shot ATTEMPTS and not shots made or efficiency.

Kobe's clutch "gene" and Lebron's lack thereof might be the most absurd myth that a shocking number of people believe, except that any objective data tells you differently. Although I will agree that no superstar has really that been that "clutch" since Jordan, and he was so ridiculously good that he made everyone have inflated ideas of what a clutch player should be

Agreed on all accounts.

I think Jordan has indirectly ruined how teams play the final seconds of ballgames. Of course not his fault, but moreso the coaches who think hero ball is the way to go.

Give it to your best player, everyone move out the way. And it usually ends with watching your best player taking a low% shot. This worked for Jordan because he was jordan. Now everyone does it and it's pretty annoying lol.

You won't find anyone who watched Jordsn from UNC on through his Bulls years make that comparison. Kobe is great, but MJ is still on a different plane.

It's really not close like some say.

There simply isn't a debate for it.

Kobe was so clutch last night.

He was 1-6 from the field (the one he made was with no time on the clock to end the game) in the last 4 minutes of the game. (3-11 in the 4th Q)

Also, the Lakers were -9 with Kobe in the game.

Man that dude is clutch. I won't be surprised if you see Michael Jordan wearing a throwback Kobe #8 jersey at the next game
