commissioner doesn’t want to investigate the Yankees. That affects MLB’s financial bottom line. Carlos Beltran was with the Yankees all but 1 1/2 years from 2014-19. He told the Astros their sign-stealing methods were archaic. He wasn’t caught after the 2017 World Series. Do you honestly believe, then, that he stopped passing along sign-stealing methods in 2018 and 2019? If you do, you’re being disingenuous at best or you’re not very smart at the worst.

Who gives a shite about the NY media? They’re chasing a story that affects NY and will spin it in whatever way necessary to get clicks and sell newspapers. Some of them are probably even Yankee fans masquerading as media members. Let them have their field day. Who cares?

It's not that. It's that you fricks constantly deflect to what you think everyone else did and defend your proven trash team

And you think Gerrit Cole didn’t know about what they did/do? Think they didn’t implement some angles while he was with the club and everything was clean?

NY sure didn’t have a problem signing a “cheater” to the richest deal in history

Yeah, in your mind, sticking up for sign-stealers = sticking your for a coach who looked the other way on rape. You’re pretty stupid.

It’s not deflecting. They did it. Big fricking deal. It’s you guys the ones that act like they’re the only team that’s ever did anything like this. Again, sorry you’re stupid and lack common sense.

They would have been better off not making a statement

The Houston Astros organization is a complete joke

It's cute that y'all use that as a response so often, considering about 300 players were busted, including several Astros.

I bet you didn't have much to say about his press conferences, since that was the topic

Along with the Yankees and Red Sox and Mets.

But someone had to fall on the axe.

It becomes relevant if other teams are doing it because at that point teams are cheating to keep up with the cheaters. Look at college basketball and football. Everyone who’s winning big cheats on some level because it’s their only chance to win.

I want my team to play by the rules but I also want to play by a level playing field. If the Yankees were “cheating” first (they were) and continued to “cheat” (they were), I have no problem with the Astros “cheating” to keep up.

It’s sad you’re obsessed with the “little brother” Astros, who have kept your team out of two of the last three World Series.

Big brother. Is that the only place you can go with this now?

Is it deflecting when the guy that implemented the cheating came from the Yankees organization?

The Astros got caught....fine. But it was much more widespread than a lot of people want us to believe and the punishments illustrate this better than anything does. MLB did not want this to go any further. The Yankees and their fans can stay on their moral high horse all they want but they better hope no one comes looking for the skeletons in their closet.

I don't think any one else could have done a worse job addressing the whole cheating scandal

Jim Crane - "Our opinion is this didn't impact the game. We had a good team. We won the World Series and we'll leave it at that."

They deserve months and months more of ridicule just for this comment

Dude, just stop arguing with them, its like talking to a trumper that constantly brings up Hillary.

They will never admit fault and will constantly say everyone else was doing it.

Its circular.

The ‘everyone else does it’ excuse is so played out.

That’s not how it works. That excuse doesn’t work on a cop when you get pulled over for speeding. It doesn’t work when you get in trouble at school. It doesn’t work ever.

The Astros played a dangerous game and got caught. The constant deflecting to Ny or Boston is sad. They seriously think this is a MLB conspiracy.
