Musta had Florida on the ML. Wow he was bad.

Do you not understand that him touching the ball would've been a turnover?

YES,also
Did you see the possession before?

It looked bad on him, but when you look at the replays it was really great defense by Florida in both cases.
He did take too long to try to get the three pointer off and it cost him, but he was probably making sure nobody was open underneath before he shot.
Feel bad for that kid because I know it will haunt him

Should have just put it up with the defender coming at him and hope for a foul......no way the ref would call it there but it was his only chance at that point.

Irrelevant to the OP

Or have a chance at an offensive rebound.

This. Florida locked them up and played it perfectly, and when you look at the replay from the other baseline there was no way that shot wasn't getting blocked. Smart of him to have the wherewithal to not touch it but his teammate clearly didn't know the rule as well and waited to go after it.
My take on it was that Houston was trying to run a double screen to get him a look and the big that was toward the top of the key didn't get to his spot, so it was more staggered and the defender was able to get through and challenge.
I never like waiting for a shot at the buzzer when you're losing. If you want to "go for the win" fine, but take that shot with 7 or 8 seconds left so you have time for a shot at a rebound or foul in the event of a miss. With 3 point percentages around 35% you're more than likely going to need it.

Many very good college players (some who even make it in the NBA) have made crucial mistakes that cost their teams in the NCAA tournament--remember Chris Weber of Michigan and who was that player in a game involving Georgetown who threw a casual backwards pass to an opponent, thinking he was a teammate?
The play of #21 of Houston was good throughout the NCAA tournament, with that exception. Sadly to many fans, that's the only play by him they will remember.
