What's the pitch for investors?

See it at www.budget-farms.com.

I have some pretty solid investors right now but I am looking to add some more.

Another reason I am doing this is I love this sport. I would like to pass on the excitement and fun of owning a racehorse to those that don't have the knowledge or experience of the business. First time you are standing in the winners circle getting your picture taken you will be hooked.

This is interesting. I'll look into it. But I'm way up north (as Justin Wilson would say).

I've known him for almost 30 years. Were like brothers.

You use Calhoun? I thought he would come at a premium.

You can always take a weekend vacation a few times a year. EVD is really nice with the hotel and casino right there and then a New Orleans weekend at the fair grounds.

Husband is one of his assistants he will be the one training I'm sure.

Otherwise there is no way in hell I could do this. My "show" horse takes most of my paycheck. Mine is turned back out til his knees close. About 16.1 ish and still growing. Maybe he'll be ready for fg.

I spend a lot of time at the track in New Orleans. I'll look for yours when they run.

Though I'm not a fan of his Broberg has the right idea with using the claiming ranks.

F that dude. Lost 2-way shakes twice in a month to him. If I didn't know any better, I would say the fix is in.

I dont think it is a scam. The chances of making money are slim, he is selling the experience of owning a racehorse with the slim chance of being in the winners circle.

Id say its unlikely that you will make any money, but I dont think he is going to steal any money from anyone.

This partnership owning of race horses is growing more and more popular these days. I'd love to do it if I had some extra cash hanging around. I have an old friend who does it. I believe you have to look at it as a hobby that will cost you money. This type of ownership is not going to make you rich. I'd consider it lucky to break even. Horse racing, even at the owner level is still gambling. In all gambling, you have to have lots of money, and the patience to survive down times to make money.

Exactly. It's a hobby, like golf or sailing.

You just keep throwing money at it until you die or run out of money.

His progression trend is moving the right way. If he's 5 years into the game, I'd say he's doing ok. This year particularly.

I hope you don't race at La downs. Can't believe the racing commission is letting them get away with those purses. Embarassing.

I would also think life is tough for a low level claiming barn as long as Broberg and his magic hands are around

Magic something.

It's a shame how things have gone downhill at la downs. Nice track.
