Ive heard that they sell tickets for $10 outside the arena on the day of the game. Has anyone ever done this? Im gonna try to go to the opener. thanks

I don't know about $10, unless they are behind the goal. However, they are relatively cheap and easy to come by

but you can do that and wait until after the 1st quarter and attempt to sneak into the lower section.
I do it all the time.
just get a drink and food and walk on by, they normally don't stop you when they know you have to put stuff down to show them the tickets.
and if they do stop you then frick it and go to another section

shite, I have season tickets in section 107, and I can be carrying 4 drinks, 3 nachos, 3 hot dogs and a pretzel and they'll still make me show them my ticket stub.

yeah, they always check my stub in the lower bowl, no matter how much i'm carrying.
