Or yankee fans celebrating a Red Sox championship because they are in the AL East. Same could be said for saints fans rooting for the falcons. You will NEVER see that...so why does it make it cool to root for Rival SEC teams?
Because none of those leagues work the same way college football works.

UCLA will probably get it inside the 10 yard line and self destruct after that...

So because we don't have a playoff, it's ok to pull for our rivals? That doesn't make much sense
I'm not saying it's right or wrong...but you should pull your fan/man card out of your wallet if you ever pull for your rival in any circumstance that would not benefit your own team. I would pull for Bama/Auburn/etc if it meant LSU would go to Atlanta or the BCS title game. That's about it.
ETA: UCLA is REALLY bad

How did UCLA do anything this year? Are Oregon and Stanford really the only good teams in the PAC-12?

If Baylor beats UCLA by over 21 do you think UCLA could beat UL-M?

quote:this. The perspective of the SEC is what matters on where the SEC gets placed. It's not about playoffs and divisions and records. It's about records and schedules. The schedules are based on perspective of strength. The individual teams in the SEC need each other team to be relatively strong. Otherwise you might start seeing other conferences get the tug job the SEC has been getting recently and it will come back to bite your favorite team in the arse.

Except Auburn. They can lose every game, I don't care.

Were they screwed out of a better bowl and didn't want to show up?
