They'll say they feel unsafe when someone closes window. Point is they are free to remove themselves from that feeling unsafe.
In fl, gun carry is legal by proper permits etc.andnits reasonable to assume someone may have a gun in the car. If police feel unsafe standing there writing tickets, the can move themselves to a safer location till complete.

You think cops should run away from potential threats?

Well you've always been pretty dumb so there's that.

Whats the threat of a driver who identified himself and asks for his ticket, and waits with windows rolled up.
You can't honestly say the cop wasn't trying to exert his authority

I’m not the cop so I don’t know. But you didn’t answer my question

Sure, ill.answer, when you ask a less broad spectrum question?
Define "potential threats"
But yes, vops.should always protect themselves from threatening situations, until that's not an option.
Cop.sat there badgering him yelling "why aren't you wearing your seatbelt?"
Who fricking cares! Write his ticket! It's that simple. No person has to answer that question, period.
Do you understand?

Lol. You’re one of those try hards that seeks out confrontations with cops and films it while you’re quoting obscure laws the whole time and posts on YouTube lol

Not at all. Again, the fricking cop was seeking confrontation.
You're too stupid to understand. After the traffic stop is made, all those questions a cop is asking are to build evidence against you, period. They are looking for more. When you don't answer, and they get mad, then you know the reue intention was to pile more charges on you. They aren't being nice, clown.
And yes, I have 2 criminal defense attorneys in family. I not only know the law, I know your rights...but more importantly, I know what the cops are doing when speaking to you. Anything you say has to be voluntary and that ends when the window was up. Listen to the 1st reaction the cop has when he rolls up the window. Tells the story. Be honest and tell.me what you hear as his reaction.
Key to reaction is when he says, "roll down....you know what, get out."
It's not a legal move. Cops is fricked. I'll bet you $1000 the cop is done, fired.
I love our rights, and the cops rights as well. Guys like you somehow think that cops can do or say what they want, and we HAVE to adhere. It simply isn't true. A cop violating our rights is a crime, just like beating someone for no reason.
He CANNOT do it and video is slowly purging the bad ones out.

This is some classic smalltown Louisiana knowitall shite, expecting people to be impressed that you're related to an attorney, and thinking that makes you a legal expert.
And ypu? Laugh at moronic fricks like you who's only comeback is....but but but.
What are your credentials? Case law? Years in service as a cop? Anything? Of course not...you're nothing

Why not just simply comply with the officer, like my dad told mybrother and me when we got our driver’s license?

The guy you are responding to is the type that will seek interactions with officers, and do dumb outlandish shite while citing weird laws just to act an arse and saying shite like “you’re violating my rights!!!” You know exactly the type I’m talking about.

comply
He did. Complying does NOT include non essential commands, requests, questions by an officer. PERIOD!
that's what's so off about your position. Complying pertains lawful commands only. Not answering to " why weren't you wearing a seatbelt" is NOT being combative. It's simply following the rights granted to you in the constitution. The cop knows this and very well knows he's asking things that aren't relevant.
Why didn't the cop comply with protocol, once he's secured I'd and identity...to simply go write the ticket.
No reason for a single question after he had the documents to write a ticket.

Does this not sound like a Morris Bart, Reeves & Mestayer, or the Davis Law Firm from ATX/SATX?
You kind of sound like Tommy Boy here, except I am positive you did have to stick your head up the bull's arse to see steak.

You mean detaining him. He wasn’t arrested. If I did the exact same thing, I would’ve been in jail but hey… he had a football game to play.

That is definitely legal

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

The commotion was actually because he refused to show them his hands. You conveniently left that part out. Assclowns like you make me defend cops and I hate you for it
Posted on 9/12/24 at 6:41 pm to ChatGPT of LA
When a cop requests that you keep your window down and you do not comply, you are escalating the situation and deserve to be treated as a threat.
