Playing an even amount of games is catering to powerhouse programs?

Yeah because not all want to play that many games or can even afford to

It’s interesting to me the top softball teams in the state are not 5A.

I think most are 3A.

Usually it’s John Curtis and St Amant… thats whom I think of for softball

Before I was born Andrew Jackson was the first dynasty back in the day with 8 state championships

Updated rankings coming either tomorrow or after the bi-district round.

I think pineville is probably the 2nd best team in the state.

Division 3 non select has some
Absolute young stud pitchers in the top 10 teams in the power rankings.

Many upset Pine Prairie last year (11 over 6) and went on to reach the state tournament.

Could face PPHS again, but my alma mater (MHS) will likely have to beat another traditional power in South Beauregard first.

Pine Prairie is very different this year. Their frosh pitcher is extremely good, and they picked up a soph SS that wasnt there last year.

Her rise ball is the best I’ve seen from a hs pitcher. It’s almost unhittable.

I had a couple of choices.

Teurlings Catholic wins (13-1 I'm pretty sure was the final).

I didn't know their all-state 2B was lost to injury for the season.

The top of their lineup is tough. They got a couple of players eligible who had to sit out last year that are big-time additions.

Will update the rankings after the first round. Little tired today.

Malloy Miles from French Settlement is a stud.

No. 8 FSHS at No. 1 Kaplan is intriguing.

As is Kinder vs Jena (6,3)

Pine Prairie vs Many or S Beau

And especially Doyle vs Sterlington
