Sponsors aren't throwing up money for a bowl game that they don't even know the location of until a couple of weeks before, plus all of the event management that goes into it

Basically you are an idiot OP

WTF does the location of the bowl have to do with advertising?

Every bowl game is televised. What a stupid fricking comment

Let's pretend that this shitty Shitty NATIONAL FUNDING HOLIDAY BOWL game was played at Miss State today. Again, we are just pretending...

It would have been Sold Out game and the shitty Belk sponsor of the game would have had their TV exposure and they could advertise their message to the 55k+ people at the game AND each team could have made a LOT more money thann they did today. The Belk Bowl had a whopping 45k attendance.

I guess you guys don;t like helping out the local economies and exposure for your shitty bowl games. Bunch of Liberals on this website

That is a perfect example. First thing is there Starkville doesn't have the infrastructure to pull something like that off.

Are freebasing cocaine, because the fact that you can't understand how this would work is baffling.

So they do it 5 times/year for home games but they cannot do it one time? It's baffling that you do not think that fans from both sides would fill up that stadium. That's baffling.

And the way that you are talking to me like I am a 7 year old kid and you are some CEO elite a-hole is baffling to me.

If Miss State VS a legit team would fill that stadium up.

A Miss State game vs a shitty team in god knows where = empty stadium.

That's so difficult for you to understand which is very baffling to me.

By the way, who the hell uses the word baffling these days? Are you Bill Cosby's age?

I am talking about increasing attendance and environment at BOWL Games. I have NEVER been to a Bowl game that cost $1,00 to attend. Ever. WTF are YOU talking about?

You're obviously a moron. Increase environment? Since they are sponsored by companies, this will obviously never happen. As far as the price tag, if you buy two tickets are market price, only the worst bowl games and seats are going to be less than $300 total. Travel costs and hotel stay all adds up. If you actually do the bowl experience, this is the price tag. What you are talking about is being a cheap skate who has one agenda and is ignoring what makes a bowl different from a regular game.

Whichever team is ranked higher or has the better record gets to play the game in their home stadium.

DONE. CHA-CHING

host cities have the games to bring in tourist money.
the host city is expecting to fill hotels, serve 30,000 hamburgers and 10,000 steaks, and use 3,000 taxis. Business.
they expect/want the fans to travel to the host city.

Iv'e done Bowl experiences for the past several years. I have never had to pay $1,000 for a fricking bowl ticket. What a lame arse assumption.

If you want to fix* bowl attendance, the easy answer is to reduce the number of bowls. Make them an actual achievement for teams, right now there is little incentive for fans to support bc there are so many and most are worthless. Not to mention bad matchups bc of the amount of teams. Truth be told fans don't want to travel 500 miles to watch two 6-6 teams play.

This isn't an issue that needs "fixed." These bowls know the stadium isn't going to be full or even half full but they don't GAF. Some of these schools bring 10,000 or less people to home games and you expect them to bring 4X that to a venue across the country?

What would you rather, I call you a ignorant dumb frick?
I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you just don't know how the bowls work.
