I get this is TigerDroppings, but we're talking a 6 year old girl, no need to be that coarse about it.
A 6 year old that you don't know and won't see this thread. He answered a question, quit being a bitch.

So that's how you'd phrase it during dinner with your mother and father?

I mean yeah. If they asked me what he did to her. My parents are adults.

Although the topic probably wouldn't come up at dinner.

Actually, let me put it another way. If this article came up in conversation in the workplace, would you really think it's okay to describe that specific situation with those words? You wouldn't choose anything else? Just curious.

The moment I started feeling sympathy for the guy I remember the details of the story. 16 is old enough to operate a motor vehicle on a highway. The dude fingered a 6 year old multiple times while she expressed that it hurrt. I can't shake it like I'd be able to if this was a 18 year old fricking a 17 year old classmate.

And his punishment was probation and counseling while his family ostracized the girl's family.

Why does it matter?

Let's not forget, he was probably still on probation and in counseling while he was being recruited. It's coming out now, but could you imagine this coming out during his freshman year, when he was far less removed from the crime? I wonder what the "he's done his time" defenders would say then?

is that mentioned in an article (just curious if there's that much info out there about it)?

my own opinion is the guy should be in jail for a very, very long time ... 16 yo is old enough to know better than to do that ... but that's just my opinion ...

Yes.

Many of the family 'sided' with the perv, and they don't allow the victim anywhere near family gatherings.

It's a pretty fricked up story.

"He did his time" isn't an opinion, and we don't get to decide.

This should be more about the institution. What did OSU leadership do wrong?

JFC. I guess he could have said 'penetrated the victim with his finger'. If you ask what happened, there is no easy way to answer.

It will be fricked up regardless how you word it. Stop being a weak minded person.

Meh, he's still serving his punishment by registering as a sex offender. Part of the consequences of having to register as a sex offender.

There are some who would say having to register as a sex offender precludes you from participating in collegiate sports. With that, I'd agree.

Well, the reason he is in this mess now is because he didn't register. So it actually seems like he wasn't t doing his time....

And? Doesn't mean what OSU is doing is the right thing.
