I listened to it for the first time in a couple months the other day, and remembered just how much I used to like it.
Sometimes he becomes way too much of a homer, which can be difficult to listen to, but he still knows his stuff relatively well IMO, and makes it an enjoyable listen.

Btw, watching this now and Doris Burke is just tremendous at what she does.

BS is decent when he's producing and behind the camera, but that dude is horrible on tv.
Also, as mentioned, his podcast is still pretty good but holy shite do they go insanely heavy on the politic liberal hysteria. Any time they talk about something it's always "watching Kyrie play is such a joy given the current state of the world" and "Lebron is one of the few things we have to look forward to given everything else going on around us", and it's like frick dude chill-out. Ya lose one election to a reality tv star, and they're trying to make it seem like Stalin has taken over the country.
Outside of that constant slant, their basketball content is absolutely the best around. Their football writing has really suffered, though, as they've gone so basketball-heavy.

Bill does do this quite a bit but I don’t feel like he really even cares about the political shite. Just wants his employees to think he’s down for the cause. Maybe I’m wrong

Really? Don't mind his articles but this dude is like a homeless mans Zach Lowe, only he'll never say anything remotely controversial.
I know it's cool to hate on Simmons but I enjoyed it last night. Some pretty good access with the player interviews. If they could have gotten some sound from on the court it would have been amazing.

When Jack O comes on, Bill at least gives us a heads up that Trump hate is coming. That's when I know it's time to shut it down. He'll say "ok, 30 seconds on Trump." Even though it'll go 5+ mins.

I couldn't finish game one, but I also hate GSW. If the cavs had one I might have liked it. The cinematography was really cool

That podcast black with Larry Wilmore or whatever is the worst piece of garbage I have listened to.
Bill sticks to basketball he is very good. Everything it takes to be good on tv he doesn't have.
Tjarks and Danny Chau or better than Kevin O'Conner. Kevin lacks and identity which is why I don't see him ever moving past the ringer.
