if it hadn't been stopped because of cuts he would have won
But it did. And no doctor in his right mind would let that fight last much longer. That's the point of TKOs and having a ringside doctor.
JMO - that fight should have continued and there was no imminent danger that required the fight to be stopped... they were able to do enough to keep his vision intact
Because of how dirty boxing has been it looked like just another example of boxing fixing the results to make sure the "right" guy won

Klitschko was up 58-56 on all 3 cards, which I would guess that he lost the first 4, then won the last 2. He had the momentum going forward, and I think he would have finished it well.
The danger is not just in the vision. They have to be concerned about infection, blood loss, the shape of the cut, assessment of how the cut might continue to tear, and risk to career.

all that sounds great... but in a sport as questionable as boxing the reason fights get stopped is more likely to be the guys on the sidelines with money on the wrong boxer saw a way to declare victory and collect their winnings

The fight definitely should have been stopped. I don't dispute that. Lennox is notorious for targeting cuts. He used to have sparring partners wear pieces of tape around their eyes to act as targets. He was also one of the best at ye olde glove and laces' scrape. He would have permanently damaged Vitali's eye if Klit didn't knock him out soon...which could have happened.
Lennox was a bitch for agreeing to a rematch and then running into retirement. He was scared that a man who took a fight on a week's notice came pretty damn close to knocking him out.

Lennox was so cheap that fight - constantly pawing at the cut during clinches... Going purposely into clinches so he could easily target the cut to paw at.
I fault Klitchko and the referee for allowing that to happen - I think he'd have made it to the final bell if not for the BS shits Lennox got in.

what time do the undercards start saturday?

You'll have to watch them on Sky (there are tons of streams available) as HBO will only carry the main event during the day. I think they would start about 1pm CST.

Just the idea that Wladimir has knocked 49 men out. He's stood over 49 men who he rendered unconscious is amazing to me. FORTY NINE!

Some odds for those interested:
Draw
+2800
Haye by Decision
+900
Haye by KO - TKO - DQ
+220
Klitschko by Decision
+400
Klitschko by KO - TKO - DQ
-140
Round props, even money under 7.5 might not be a bad bet.

49 lesser men. None are as supreme athletes as Haye.

I am still pulling for Hayes just for the simple reason, if he can actually pull this off, he will have 3 belts and then Vitali (sp?) will have to fight to become the unified champ or maybe Hayes beats him too.
Either way, if Hayes wins, the heavyweight division gets more exciting...finally!!!

Well they aren't just a jab, and their methodical style can be seen as boring. They are just so much better than everyone else. They just take their time and break their opponents mentally and physically. Vitali is a more exciting albeit less talented fighter than his brother. He likes to mix it up. Wlad just likes to throw the jab to break his opponent down and then there comes the right or the left hook and it's good night.
