Man, a lot of these great college football coaches tend to live a very long life. Bobby Bowden's still alive at 90, Vince Dooley's still alive at 87, Gagliardi died last year at 91, and Eddie Robinson died when he was at 88. I won't be surprised if Saban lives until he's 100.

RIP to a legend

It sucks that he passed right before Christmas, but 90 is still a good run

By winning the conference 3 times in 20 years?

RIP... He was an incredibly under-appreciated coach. His coaching tree is still making waves in college football.

The Stoops Brothers, Bill Snyder, Bret Bielema, Bo Pelini, Kirk Ferentz, Jim Leavitt, Barry Alvarez, etc.

Remember him for using "Stand up Tight Ends".

This guy doesn’t get it.

The 3 titles are most of that tenure behind OSU and Michigan, yes?

I’d expect an Ag to recognize a coach from Texas with a highly successful career, but I guess not.

So what? I'm not saying he was a bad coach. I'm questioning the claim he ended the idea that the Big 10 was a two team conference. Michigan State (2), Illinois (2), Northwestern (2), Wisconsin (2), and Penn State (1) all outright won or tied for the conference championship in the time he was there.
