I think Verlander and Cole should share the award this year.

Verlander gets it.

These two are as close as Maddux/ Glavine/ Smoltz was in the mid to late 90s.

It can end in a tie vote.

It probably won't though, Verlander will win it unless he does a Wade Miley impression in his last start.

Good chance Cole gets skipped the last day if the Astros have home field clinched.

Sharing an individual reward is just a ridiculous thought to me. With as many analytics as the MLB embraces there is a way to see separation between any two players.

And it's all up to human voters. I know it can technically add up to a tie but the chances on that has to be pretty slim.

that last part is just it...doesn't matter about the analytics when it comes to human voters. otherwise every award would be unanimous.

It would have to be a dead even voting split.

I predict Gerrit wins it because JV pissed off the voters (journalists) when he blocked that Detroit writer from getting into the vistors locker room in Detroit
