I used to buy so many singles and boxes off eBay. But with eBay now forcing buyers to also pay taxes to many states, buying cards just got even more expensive. I bought something 2 weeks ago (not cards) and saw a tax added to my checkout for the first time. It's not that much on small purchases, but on larger purchases it really adds up.

Yeah, that vintage stuff never loses value. I was never that into it, but I picked up a few of my team that I like.

Short prints are usually worth more than relics or sticker autos. The Acuna super short print goes for $200-$300 on eBay. It can be had at places like Walmart and Target.

Thanks, I'm very well versed in whats valuable and what is not.

I would put my collection up against anyone's in terms of value. I basically have the majority of star players best rookie card graded from 1960-current in the 3 major sports.

Damn, my Pokemon distributor doesn't do anything sports card related, so the cheapest place to get boxes in D&A or eBay

Now I pretty much just try to collect a mid-level rookie of every Auburn player that makes it to the pros.

That's basically what I do, minus the Auburn part. I just like having the rookie cards for sentimental sake, and collect autos and memorabilia cards of my favorite players as well

Best card I ever got out of a box was penny Hardaway finest refractor rookie card. Got it out of a ten dollar wall mart box where the cards are all loose inside the box

I would get those shitty plastic things that had like one autograph card on the outside to entice you to buy it then the rest was just garbage cards on the inside

Blowout Cards forum or Donruss/Pannini's website is an excellent reference.

so I ended up getting four panini prizm draft pick hobby boxes for a decent price that my distributor snagged for me.

All praise to all the Joe Burrow cards please
But I put a $700 bid on a joe burrow/Justin Jefferson auto card on eBay but it ended up going for like $830

Gonna crack the others tomorrow

A solid /75 hyper prizm! Was hoping for a /xxx LSU player of any sort, but I guess the delpit silver prizm will do for now. Crossing my fingers on these other boxes

I also got a crusade /25 Josh Jacobs prizm but forgot to put that in the pic for some reason

I open packs of 1990 Topps baseball cards from my mom’s basement every now and then.

This was the last set I bought. I have full sets from 75 thru 89. Have MANY cards prior to 75 just not entire sets.

I bought so many sets of Fleer cards in 89 thinking I was going to make a fortune off this one. They're worth a couple of dollars today.

any of you guys remember the 'game' on the back ? you either got a hit, walk, strikeout or made an out
I ruined so many of these cards over the years playing. Brings back memories of good times.

Seeing that Brady card reminds me how much I regret selling a Brady Quantam Leaf rookie in a Michigan jersey I pulled way back in 2000. I sold it right after he beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl thinking he wouldn't win anymore at his age. Whoops.

And wtf is this redemption shite

Edit: Yep, just redeemed it on Panini. I think I just pulled the rarest Ceedee Lamb card in the set... But frick me it takes 4 months to get it

I waited probably 3 years to get some redemptions from Topps. I never got the player I was supposed to get. Where did Lamb play at? I don't remember him.

I had to have that Ripken frick face card years ago. I probably overpaid, but I couldn't resist. I also bought the black box variation with it. How many people at Fleer you think lost their job from this card?
