re: Has there ever been an NBA player teetering on greatness/irrelevancy as much as Hardwn?

Seriously wtf is with all the cherry picking? If he had a good game you wouldn't need to quantify anything about it.
He has to cherry pick because harden simply is not good enough for him to be able to make a logically sound argument to support him.
Otherwise he ends up having to say stupid shite like mcgrady > harden because of playoff bpm.

There is quite a few websites that filter out the non competitive portion of the game as you can toss them because the game was decided.. Cleaning the glass being the main one. Once the in-game win probability reaches 99% those # are not included.

I watched the game. Maxey and Green carried the Sixers. Harden was the 4th best guy last night. 4/11 and 1/7 with 7 turnovers the best? That dog don’t hunt bubba.

Didn’t need to watch. Philly outscored Miami thru the first two games when Jordan was off the court. Let’s be honest if embiid plays the first two games it is a good chance PHI Is going for a sweep tomorrow.

Harden is a very good basketball player. But he will be completely forgotten 10 years after he retires. He won’t be a player that lives on

Just seen this. Based on the quality of shots created for teammates in game 2, Philly wins that game 9 times outta 10. This is the kinda tracking data that is available now that shows true impact and does a good job of showing that they got wide open looks all night but had a really poor night on those open looks

this is a great graphic for guy like you who look at a box score and say whatever it is you say.
he sliced them up all nite and generated wide open look after look
For his teammates. Can lead a horse to water they say..

I actually watched the game… you can have it up all the stupids stats and metrics you want to, but Maxey has far outplayed harden in these playoffs and it’s not really close. Fact!!!!!

Well we definitely know one player, Jim Harden, just simply can't shoot and doesn't want to anymore, so again, the metric is flawed. Jim could be left alone in a gym right now and maybe hit 35% from 3. He just doesn't have the legs anymore.
Thankfully embiid being back with his elite defense got them the w, but the heat aren't gonna shoot 35% from the field again lol

The metric is based on fg% for the year for each shot. Based on the player who took the shots season long shooting averages taking into consideration location and defense ( open, wide open, etc.). so if you draw the double team and kick to green wide open in the corner and he shots 50% on that shot for the year, that’s included here. It doesn’t punish harden for green missing a Shot he makes At a high clip. On the flip side the heat made tons of shots they usually miss.
Yea who woulda thought a team would be much better on defense going from Jordan to Embiid.

So it's even more flawed then.
Playoff shots/=/reg season shots.

CP is beating up on a 4 seed and a 9 seed. Harden prob never lost to a 4 seed in his career. He lost to bucks (champs). Lakers (champs).warriors (dynasty) in the last 5 years. When he plays a lower seed it’s always a win.
Literally no clue what this is supposed to rebut

Boom has admitted he doesn’t watch, so at this point I just want to hear his takes on the Rockets. You know, his team.

is he still even a rockets fan? Seems like I remember him calling for the rox to get relocated.
I guess he just follows harden around now...pretty lame since we all had to hear about “clutch city” which happened when Jim was a toddler
