Has Minkah Fitzpatrick been worth that first round pick?

Minkah Fitzpatrick in 7+ games with the Steelers: 36 tackles, 4 interceptions (T-2nd most in NFL), 5 PBU, 2 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, 1 TD scored.

Beast.

Unless Rudolph is the answer at QB, no. The Steelers should have bottomed out this year and got a QB with that pick.

Old arse Ben who doesn't really give a shite anymore isn't winning a damn thing before he retires.

I would say yes.

They aren't going to be anywhere near as bad as Miami or Cincy, so they won't miss out on a franchise QB.

Yup. Steelers have already forced more turnovers this season than all of last season. He’s also the first Steelers DB with 4 INTs in a season (Troy 9 years ago).

He’s a monster.

Tua and Burrow are both gonna be off the board anyway. Who would Pittsburgh get?

100%

Keep building that D

They won’t draft a QB with the contract Ben just got

No idea, but we have also seen multiple years now where great QBs were taken after the first couple. I also forgot Minkah isn't a UFA until 2023 lol, so that does even it up a bit.

If that pick ends up being too 5 overall, it absolutely wasn’t worth it.

Better player than he showed in Miami but making that trade after losing Ben was questionable.

I’d say burning your ticket to the next franchise QB is a bad move

Minkah is on fire and will help make that draft pick a mid round 1st. Just had a 94 yard pick 6.

This stat line shows how big of a gap the Steelers and Dolphins are as an organization

Dolphins played Fitz at literally every position except nose tackle.

Impossible to know without knowing where the 1st round pick ends up...

How trash are the dolphins that they couldn’t figure out how to use this dude? He’s crazy versatile.

I was hesitant given that it may be a top 10 pick but he's been absolutely fantastic

He’s barely over 200 lbs and the Dolphins were having him play at the line of scrimmage. fricking stupid.

Steelers on their way to 4-4, currently looking like a mid round pick and Minka is balling out.

Hard to argue its a bad trade for Pittsburgh right at the moment.

Without him, it's likely they lose this game, and two of their wins are against the hapless Bengals and Dolphins.

So it's a worthy discussion if a first round trade is worth moving from 6-9 to 9-7.

Rudolph looks good to me. He looked good from the first snap he took 4 weeks ago vs Baltimore.

Kid has "it".
