It really is irrelevent as far as this fight though. GSP dominated BJ. He dominated him in standup, clinch, and the ground.

I don't think you can say that it is irrelevant. If I remember right, most of GSP's dominance was on the ground. He wasn't able to get BJ on the ground until the 2nd rd when he had the vaseline on him.

"To the untrained eye the grease might not look like much, but every grappler knows the effect that it has. Being able to apply your submissions and sweeps or just being able to hold on to your opponent to defend yourself from being hit is absolutely critical! There is a reason why you are not allowed to put grease anywhere on your body except for the area around your eyes."-BJ Penn

Hell if I'm fighting GSP, I want someone in his dressing room making sure they aren't greasing him up and then wiping it off. Seems like that would be damn near impossible to detect. and seemed like the game plan in between rounds when that dumbass had the towel rubbing GSP after the grease was already applied.

It's not a formal complaint. It's bullshite posturing to try to save face.

It's a lame attempt to try to avoid looking like your crying about it, while crying about it. And it's a smear against another fighters reputation, because that fighter beat your arse.

I wanted Penn to win... I now hope he never wins again.

It is getting ridiculous on how much people are trying to cover for GSP and saying oh BJ is just crying.

Take the BJ whinning out of the equation, and what do you have? A CHEATER!!!!

If it was so clear cut... file a formal complaint.

It's been blown way out of proportion by internet fan boys.

If BJ would have filed the formal complaint you might have an issue, but until then it's not.

GSP's corner should not have done it, without a doubt. But jesus christ this is funny as hell.

If I'm not mistaken it is being looked into and a formal complaint could come out of that?

I liked GSP. Said he would win that fight. Said he would have won it without the grease. Again that isn't the point.

You're mistaken. The 10 days for a formal complaint is ticking away.

This was a way for BJ to get try to get a rematch and use the excuse for why he lost. For now he's sticking with the it wasn't a fair fight.

He could file one by next next Tuesday.

GSP's camp challenged BJ, not the other way around. And again this is like knowing a test backwards and forwards and then still cheating on it, then getting caught cheating and saying, "Well, I knew the test anyway". It doesn't work like that IMO.

Grasshopper, here's quotes from your internet fan boys.

quote:

“I saw the commission jump up there and flipping out,” White is quoted as saying during the post-fight press conference for UFC 94. “They said one of the guys was rubbing Vaseline on Georges’ back in between rounds. It was one and two, I think.

“The guys from the athletic commission went up there and started screaming at them. Knocked the Vaseline and kicked the Vaseline out of the Octagon.”

same here. i wanted BJ to win at first but I heard all his trash talking and he sounded lame. But I just couldn't pull for anything Canadian no matter how classy GSP is. I went against my better judgement and was pulling for BJ. Now I doubt I ever will. Except Ken-Flo. For some reason I can't stand that guy.

In his not formal letter he said
quote:

The letter closes by saying that Penn and his camp are willing to meet with NSAC with the hope that “the activities of GSP and his agents are properly dealt with by the Commission” and that Penn had wanted to have a “fair and just bout” at UFC 94 while continuing to seek “a fair and just encounter against Georges St. Pierre.”

GSP is like a hairless minx cat. When he sweats he becomes slippery as there is no velcro like hair against which to gain traction. The lack of hair combined with his Lavender body wash is a deadly combo for opponents.

Usually before I grapple, I rub down with bacon grease.... Not for the advantage, but for the smell.
