which is worse? Gruden has been found guilty of the mean words, Watson accused of some real serious stuff. haven't heard a cross word said about him on tv other than "dealing with legal issues". Very weird dynamic. IMO Watson is worse

The situations are different, but this Watson thing has been covered so strangely. He was literally the 1st story every sports show on tv talked about for like 2 months when he demanded a trade. Then this comes out, it’s a story for about 2 days, then radio silence.

Everytime someone gets in any sort of trouble in the NFL someone makes this dumb thread 
Watson is a young elite franchise QB. Essentially the white whale for 20-25 NFL franchises at any given moment. Teams are going to be more patient and more willing to deal with the PR that comes with off the field stuff in that situation than they are a coach or a less effective player. It’s really not hard to figure out.

Gruden didn't do anything, who hasn't said similiar stuff?
What Watson did is on a whole other level, he needs some jail time,.

If he did it then yes he should be in prison however I’m sure you can understand why the league isn’t quick to suspend a player for a crime he hasn’t even been charged for at this point.
And no matter how this ends for Watson, he’s likely facing some level of league punishment.

There's no much the media can continue to report or give their opinions on as long as it's only allegations. No one is going to put themselves out there crucifying Watson with the risk (even if it is slim) of the allegations coming back false.
Now if he is found guilty, than that's another story.

An alleged crime. It seems there are way too many allegations for them all to be false, but they are still only allegations. The justice system needs to do its thing and decide in the court of law if Watson is guilty for sexual assault.

It’s only civil suits at this point so there’s no real court battle to report on, he’s not playing or practicing so there’s no real angle to report there, and it’s a lose/lose conversation for the media to talk about because if it comes out that he’s obviously guilty then they get slammed for not going after him hard enough, but if it comes out that he’s completely innocent then they get slammed for smearing his name

What he was accused of by over 20+ women is a crime. I never said he was charged with anything.
What Gruden did is not a crime, it's just stupid.
