OKC is one of those teams that feeds off those little momentum swings like that, especially off of favorable calls.

They definitely make the most of it when things break their way. I will say that.

And got the score down to 2.

Officials took over at the start of the 4th. The no call on the charge leading to the Butler dunk. The missed call when Zbo dribbled the ball off Collision's leg. The 3 weak fouls called on Zbo in the 4th.

Haha not gonna go read all that

Just pointing out the refs aren't the only reason

First half shooting percentage might have had something to do with it

I see this series going 6-7 games still. Memphis is a tough team

Which ultimately didn't matter because we had cut it to 4 heading into the 4th.

Missed way too many free throws though.

Yeah, free throw attempts were 32-31 yet there was a massive push by the refs to protect OKC.

Love discussing basketball with you over the past year but that's just silly.

I don't think he's saying that at all.

OKC is a very momentum-savvy team, though, and will feed off key calls and no calls to fuel their own runs. Nothing new, of course. And Memphis didn't do themselves any favors, of course.

They are

But in every NBA game you could point to 2 or 3 calls that make a difference. Happens all the time

Dude the disparity was 21-3 at one point in the 2nd.

I absolutely hate criticizing officiating, but that 4th quarter was atrocious.

I agree.

The effect of those 2-3 calls is magnified when playing OKC though, due to the nature of their team. Just something I have noticed over the years with them. It's very effective.

I pray that my fellow rockets fans don't go the blame the ref route when we drop a game.

It was just the fact that we had them on the ropes when it happened which pisses me off about it.

Z-Bo picked up two garbage fouls as Memphis was coming back. When he left the game OKC out them away. Refs for sure missed the ball going off Collison's foot and the Ibaka charge was obviously missed. Tough to come back when those things go against you but it is what it is.

Basically this. It killed our momentum.
