Maybe, but they also would've lost the stoppage for the 2 minute warning.

And they are historically terrible on short yardage goal to go situations (which a 2 pt attempt obviously is).

Even if they did score and even if they did convert the 2 pt conversion, the defense wouldn've still had to get a stop, which they showed they were unable to do when needed.
