Here he is as a rookie running down a Saints linebacker after an int:
I remember that game... Jimmy Spencer(Saints DB) was robbed of a pick six. dumb arse ref spotted him out of bounds on the return. and of course the Saints were held to a field goal as a result
but yeah, that was a helluva play by Allen.

It's sad how quickly Keno Hills has been forgotten

Damn, that guy was MOVING for a 325lb lineman. That was more impressive than the bench press

If Larry Allen isn't the greatest, he's at least in the discussion.

I think Allen should be considered one of the best given his speed, strength and time spent playing well at several positions.
Allen also has some impressive awards during his career.
Here are some other interesting tidbits:
Allen and Barry Switzer innovated the position of nickle tackle where Allen moved to LT when the Cowboys were in passing downs.
According to Stats, Inc., Allen only gave up 3.2 sacks per season in his career which is the best in history.
Larry Allen was selected to 2 All-Decade teams (1990s and 2000s). Of the 14 players who have done the same thing, 12 are in the Hall of Fame (Allen and Warren Sapp are the two not in the Hall of Fame).
Not only had a 700 bench press, Larry Allen also had a 900 squat.

Appreciate that
And now we can add Hall of Famer to his resume
Simply the best offensive lineman to ever live.
Did the 700 LB bench press with a dip of Copenhagen in his mouth. What a bad arse

Mathews has more all-pro nods than Allen though, as does Hannah.
Hannah is also on two all decades teams.
wasn't Larry Allen on two all decades team as well?

Yes, I think he mentioned something about it.
I'm just playing devil's advocate. Allen, like Hannah and Mathews, all have a claim to the best lineman ever.

Yep, the 1990s and 2000s All-Decade Teams. Glad he managed to get into the Hall of Fame.
